The brains at MegaRexx Trucks apparently thought the Ford Raptor was just too small, too vanilla of a truck. Tires? Too small. Engine? Who needs spark plugs? Body lines? Those need some fiberglass. The goal for the MegaRexx MegaRaptor was to fit 46-inch tires under a heavy duty, diesel-powered Ford platform and outfit the truck with a lifted suspension, body armor, and loads of custom fiberglass work to round it out. Here’s how it happens.
The MegaRexx MegaRaptor begins with a 6.7L diesel-powered Ford F-250, F-350, or F-450 truck. From there, it’s off with the front clip and bed, and the MegaRexx crew gets down to business.
The chassis receives suspension upgrades including moving the axle 1.5 inches forward of its original position, an ICON lift, custom-built radius arms, and Bilstein shocks. Depending on what the customer wants, the truck can be fitted with airbag lifts, long-travel suspension, and much much more.
Each MegaRexx MegaRaptor is fit with a set of custom-built fiberglass bedsides and front fender flares specifically designed to accept the 46-inch tires. To make it cooler, the hood tilts forward like that of a big rig for easy underhood access. Bumpers, LED lighting, air compressors, retractable steps/rocksliders, custom paintjobs, train horns, extended-range fuel tanks, towing accessories, (and anything else) are only limited by your imagination.
