You Need to See This Stunning Three-Wide Nürburgring Save

The Nürburgring 24 Hour is an odd race. Yes, the top class is made up of GT3 cars that race all around the world, but the 125-car entry list also has room for a Dacia Logan co-driven by someone who goes by just “Doom”. That vast disparity means that there will be trained professionals in top-level racing cars passing amateurs in road cars nearly every lap. Sometimes, they have to do so while racing other GT3 cars. As Robin Frijns saw this weekend, sometimes they have to do both while also passing damaged cars. All on the Nürburgring, the most famously narrow and difficult course in auto racing.

Frijns was racing other GT3 cars for position when he came across both a damaged Lamborghini Huracan and a four-door BMW 3-Series on either side of him exiting the same corner. He had very little time to lift, so he did what any great driver would do: He put his foot down, nearly lost control, and threaded his Audi R8 LMS through the needle without losing any ground on the cars in front of him.
