One of the Bugatti Chiron’s main selling points is its top speed. Thanks to its gargantuan quad-turbo W-16 powertrain and incredible aerodynamic properties, it’s able to achieve an electronically limited top speed of 261 mph straight from the factory. But because there are so few places in the world to experience speeds that high, most owners don’t come close to hitting that limiter. The owner of this Chiron is an exception.
Radim Passer, a Czech investor and owner of this bright blue Chiron, wanted to experience the car’s speed first hand from behind the wheel on a public road legally. The only place on Earth where that’s possible is, of course, Germany’s unrestricted Autobahn, where there is no speed limit. After sending the car back to the factory to ensure it was in perfect working order, he set out with a film crew one early July morning in 2021 to achieve his goal. And achieve it he did.
