The 2023 Subaru WRX STI Will Probably Look Something Like This

Subaru announced today it plans to bring a total of five vehicles, including four STI-branded concepts, to next year’s Tokyo Auto Salon. Among them is a very production-looking WRX S4 STI concept and an all-electric concept called the STI E-RA.

The company says the car above is based on the WRX S4 STI Sport R and uses the same fascia and body cladding found on the newly launched WRX, which we just drove for the first time. Subaru has “customized” it with a handful of STI-branded performance parts, including a cherry red splitter, side skirts, and a performance exhaust. Despite being labeled as a concept, it looks production-ready, with a wing out back and an STI badge on the nose. This is the closest we’ll get to seeing what the new WRX STI will look like before it’s unveiled in any official capacity.
