Like us, James Hinchcliffe loves nothing more than a day at the track. Unlike us, his track days generally involve racing against the best drivers in the world. A six-time IndyCar Series winner, the 34-year-old Canadian—and 2011 Rookie of the Year—currently races the No. 29 Dallara-Honda for Andretti Autosport. He drives hard, smart, and knows how to make the most of each and every lap.
Later this month, he’ll be sharing his knowledge with attendees of our Hudson Quattrocento rally, Road & Track’s autumnal tour through the Northeast celebrating the Performance Car of the Year finalists. (While this year’s event is sold out, please join us on other upcoming experiences like our Route to Vine rally in Southern California in March!)
Hinchcliffe chatted with Road & Track on the eve of Hudson Quattrocento—where he’ll be joining us on the track at Lime Rock Park and for a fireside chat at Troutbeck Resort—to discuss favorite cars, making the most of track time, and how to get out of speeding tickets. (Hint: Pretend you’re Mario Andretti.)
