The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution has been out of production for seven years now, but that hasn’t stopped us from loving it. This one’s been highly modified for hill climb racing, and makes a wonderful noise. Experience Mitsubishi’s greatest creation first-hand with this in-cabin video from a recent event in Portugal.
This final-generation Lancer Evolution is powered by a highly tuned version of its original 4B11T turbocharged inline-four. It now makes an incredible 830 horsepower and revs all the way to 8500 rpm according to the Hillclimb Monsters YouTube channel. Combined with the stripped-out interior, race-ready suspension, and copious aero upgrades, it has no problem absolutely flying up the hill.
