Need more evidence of Floridian’s seeming insanity? Look no further than Apocalypse Manufacturing’s Ram 1500 TRX 6×6, which it dubs Warlord. You read that right: 6×6. We’re talking one more axle and two more wheels than you get on the 2021 MotorTrend Truck of the Year-winning Ram 1500 TRX.
Of course, there’s really no need to add extra drive wheels to Ram’s more than 700-hp pickup truck, but, then again, the Sunshine State isn’t a place known for its rationality. We don’t know if it’s something in the water, the heat and humidity of the region, or the salty ocean breeze, but we respect the heck out of the folks at Apocalypse Manufacturing for building a 6×6 answer to a question we never thought to ask.
We’re particularly fond of the shop’s decision to maintain a generally stock look to the vehicle—fore of the C-pillar, at least. In fact, if we didn’t know better, we might think Ram actually built this TRX 6×6 itself. It didn’t, though, which is likely why this six-wheel-drive Hellcat-powered pickup costs more than three times that of an entry-level, $72,120 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, with the 6×6 sporting a price tag of $250,000.
