Project Refit Car Cruise
Project Refit is a local non-profit with a national reach! We are hosting this Car Cruise to say thank you to the front line workers and our military (past/present). We are also doing this to raise funds to support a brand new piece of technology we launched in MAY called Blue Skies. Blue Skies was named in honor of Command Seargent Major Martin “Gunny” Barreras. He was a legendary leader within the Army. Dan Lombard, a co-founder of Project Refit, served directly under him during his combat deployment. The impact Gunny had on thousands of men by empowering their individual voices is exactly why we have dedicated Blue Skies to him. Gunny would say, “Blue skies, boys,” after some missions to calm his men. He got this quote from a saying in the Army, “Why are the skies blue? Because God loves the infantry.”
