Sunday 6/7 come out for a nice drive for Alexa’s 16th Birthday!
WE WILL BE MEETING AT WALMART IN NEPTUNE 12:30 PM
Leaving 1-1:15 PM
Here is a backstory on Alexa written by her mother and why this drive means so much to us
Alexa was 13 when she had her 1st Scoliosis surgery. Something went wrong and she had to have a 2nd scoliosis surgery within the same year. Something was wrong again. After screaming in pain for 4 months and especially screaming for 7 hours on her 15th birthday we wanted to make this birthday SPECIAL. She doesn’t want to celebrate birthdays anymore cause she was traumatized. After screaming for 4 months straight in pain ALL day her body couldn’t take the pain anymore so she started having pseudoseizures all day long and continues to do so. After doctors dismissing us and telling us she was crazy and to admit her in an inpatient program. I became her Advocate and proved them wrong…Alexa is highly allergic to the metal in her back from her neck to her tailbone. She also has a SEVERE case of Bartonella disease, a coinfection of Lyme, and it’s a debilitating and fatal disease. She’s been fighting for her life. Before her first surgery, she was a healthy athletic girl. Now she’s mostly bedridden and she missed her Freshman and Sophmore year. She missed over 2 years of her life being in pain and there are no pain meds to help her so it was torture watching. We found a surgeon in NY that wants to save her life after 10 other surgeons turned their backs on us. Her 3rd surgery is June 10 and she’s petrified. She is afraid she’s going to die. Her birthday is on June 4. If you could find it in your heart to do a car parade for her it would mean ALOT.
Hope to see you out on Sunday! Please share this with everyone.
