Aston Martin Valhalla Won’t Use Aston Martin-Designed V-6 Engine

In a surprising reversal, Aston boss Tobias Moers says a Mercedes engine will power the company’s ambitious mid-engine Valhalla supercar.

“The Aston Martin Valhalla is a genuinely ambitious project from the storied British automaker: A lightweight, mid-engine hypercar aimed at models like the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. Back when it was known only by its code name, AM-RB 003, the project was slated to be powered by the first all-new engine designed in-house at Aston Martin in decades—a 3.0-liter hot-inside-vee twin-turbo V-6. But in recent remarks to investors, recently-appointed Aston Martin boss Tobias Moers revealed that the Valkyrie will likely use a Mercedes engine instead.” Check out this Road & Track article for more information!
