Acura Logos Are Back on F1 Cars at the Grand Prix In Austin, Texas

Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Alpha Tauri Formula 1 cars will look a bit different from previous races this weekend during the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. The Acura logo will prevail on the wings of all four cars, marking the return of Honda’s performance division to F1 in over a decade, at least in sponsorship form.

Acura’s logo will also appear on the helmets and driving suits of Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez, and AlphaTauri drivers Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda.

While Acura has recently started to get back into racing, this is the first time we’ve seen its logo in Formula 1 in years. Back in 2007 Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello wore the Acura logos on their visors during the Canadian Grand Prix, and from 1989 to 1992 Ayrton Senna and Alain Probst also had the pointy A on their visors.
