This year’s show will pay tribute to the minds behind the cars.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed will be returning this year with its main theme set to be ‘The Innovators – Masterminds of Motorsport,’ celebrating the development accolades that have been achieved in the world of motorsport. Everything from the early plane-powered racecars to the ultra-light and focused prototypes of the modern era will be on show from June 23-26, 2022. Just as the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae made its first public appearance here last year, we expect to see more expensive and exotic metal on show for the first time.
Goodwood says that it will be “celebrating the technical landmarks that have seen the racing automobile develop from crude behemoth to space-age projectile,” focusing on engineering ingenuity in racing and the prospects of the future.
Throughout the weekend, Goodwood promises to not only showcase a series of exciting and special vehicles rushing up the famous hill but also feature notable guests and provide interactive displays that passers-by can engage with. Following on from its debut last year, the Electric Avenue exhibit will be part of the attraction, and Future Lab (an exhibit focusing on the technology of tomorrow) will return for its fifth year.
